Data Retention & Deletion
Tool "Runs" and History (90 Days)
When you use JobHackAI tools, we may store your recent runs (your inputs and the outputs generated for you) so you can view them in your in-app History. Runs and tool history are automatically deleted after 90 days. You can also delete runs sooner using the Clear History / Delete controls inside each tool.
Account Retention After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription, your account will remain available so you can return later and renew without starting over. Your account may remain inactive until you log in again.
Inactive Account Cleanup (24 Months)
To reduce long-term retention of personal data, we clean up accounts that are inactive. If you have no active subscription and your account has had no login or tool activity for 24 months, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with the account, including account profile information and any remaining stored content.
Records We May Keep Longer
Even if runs, content, or account data are deleted, we may retain limited records for legitimate business and legal purposes, including:
- Invoices and billing records (for accounting/tax and compliance).
- Security, fraud, and abuse-prevention records (for example, to protect the Service and enforce one-trial-per-user rules).
- Records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your personal data. When we receive a verified deletion request, we will delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account except where we must retain certain records for legal obligations, billing/tax, security, and fraud/abuse prevention.
Your Privacy Rights & Choices
We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information
JobHackAI does not sell your personal information. We also do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Access, Export, and Deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request:
- Access to personal information we hold about you
- A copy/export of your data (data portability)
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and security exceptions)
- Restriction of processing or objection to certain processing (where applicable)
EEA/UK Users
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To request access/export/deletion, contact us at [email protected] or use the in-app privacy request workflow (if available). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
Fraud & Abuse Prevention
We process and retain limited information to protect JobHackAI and our users from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use. For example, to enforce a one-time free trial, we may retain a one-way hashed version of a normalized email address (e.g., lowercased and trimmed) that indicates a trial has been used. This hash is used only for fraud/abuse prevention and is not used for marketing. We may also retain limited billing identifiers (such as a Stripe customer reference) and security logs for similar purposes.
Payments (Stripe)
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles payment card data and related compliance obligations. We may receive limited billing-related details such as subscription status and payment confirmations.
AI Processing (OpenAI)
When you use AI-powered features, your inputs may be sent to an AI processing provider (such as OpenAI) to generate the output you request. We do not use your User Content to train our own AI models. We also do not permit our AI processing providers to use your API-submitted content to train their models for general improvement, unless you explicitly opt in through a provider-controlled setting.
Data Retention & Deletion Summary
JobHackAI is designed so your sensitive career data doesn't sit around forever. Below is a summary of what we keep, what we delete automatically, and what you can delete yourself.
What "Runs" Means
A run is one completed use of a JobHackAI tool — the input you submit (for example resume text, a job description, interview answers, or LinkedIn content) and the output generated for you. Your History inside each tool is a list of your recent runs.
What You Can Delete Inside the App

You can delete runs from your History using the Clear History / Delete controls inside each tool.
Automatic Deletion (90 Days)
Runs and tool history are automatically deleted after 90 days. This includes older tool inputs and outputs stored in your History.
Subscription Cancellation and Returning Later
If you cancel your subscription, your account remains available so you can return later and renew without starting over.

Billing Records / Invoices
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We retain invoices and billing records as required for accounting/tax and compliance.
Security, Fraud, and Abuse Prevention (Including One-Time Trial)
To protect the Service and prevent abuse (including enforcing a one-time free trial), we may keep a minimal anti-abuse record such as:
- A one-way hashed version of a normalized email address indicating the trial has already been used, and/or
- Limited billing identifiers (for example, a Stripe customer reference), where applicable.
This anti-abuse record is used only to prevent fraud and repeated trial misuse. A one-way hash is not the same as storing the email itself.
Requests to Export or Delete Your Data
You can request:
- Export: a copy of your account data, and/or
- Deletion: deletion of personal data associated with your account, subject to billing/tax and security/abuse-prevention exceptions.
