What is JobHackAI?

JobHackAI helps you optimize your resume, LinkedIn profile, and interview prep with AI. Upload your resume, get ATS scores, feedback, and tailored interview questions.

How do I create an account?

Click "Start Free Trial" or "Create Free Account" on the homepage. Sign up with email/password or Google. Free accounts get 1 lifetime ATS scan.

What can I do with a free account?

  • 1 ATS resume scan (lifetime)
  • View your ATS score and basic feedback

What's included in the 3-day trial?

  • Unlimited ATS scans
  • 3 resume feedback analyses
  • Unlimited interview question sets
  • Access to all tools (some features locked)

How do I upgrade?

Go to Pricing or click upgrade prompts on locked features. Plans: Essential ($29/mo), Pro ($59/mo), Premium ($99/mo).

Billing & Trial FAQs

How does the free trial work?

3-day trial starts when you sign up. A credit card is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged during the 3-day trial period. After 3 days, your subscription automatically begins unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged.

Can I use the trial more than once?

No. One trial per user. We track this to prevent abuse.

When am I charged?

You won't be charged during the 3-day trial period. After the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and you'll be charged monthly on your billing date. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Billing Management in your account settings. Click "Cancel Subscription." You keep access until the end of your billing period.

What happens when I cancel?

Your account stays active. You can return and renew without starting over. After 24 months of inactivity, we may delete inactive account data.

Do you offer refunds?

Contact support at [email protected]. We handle refunds case-by-case.

How do I update my payment method?

Go to Billing Management → Payment Methods. Add or update your card. Stripe processes payments securely.

Why was my card declined?

Common reasons: expired card, insufficient funds, bank security block. Update your payment method or contact your bank.

What does "unlimited" mean?

Unlimited means no hard cap, but we may apply rate limits (e.g., 1 request per minute) to prevent abuse.

How do I unlock locked features?

Resume Upload Issues

What file formats are supported?

PDF, DOCX (Word), and TXT. Maximum file size: 2 MB.

Why won't my PDF upload?

  • File too large (over 2 MB): Compress or use a smaller file
  • Scanned/image PDF: Upload a text-based PDF or Word document
  • Corrupted file: Try re-saving or exporting again
  • Unsupported format: Convert to PDF or DOCX

What's the difference between scanned and text-based PDFs?

  • Text-based PDF: Selectable text (works best)
  • Scanned PDF: Image of text (may not work well)

How do I convert a scanned PDF to text?

Open in Word/Google Docs and save as DOCX, or use OCR software to create a text-based PDF.

My resume uploads but shows an error.

  • Extraction failed: File may be corrupted or image-based
  • Try: Re-saving as a new PDF/DOCX, checking file size, ensuring text is selectable

Why is my resume processing slow?

Scanned PDFs take longer. Text-based PDFs and DOCX files process faster (usually under 30 seconds).

Can I upload multiple resumes?

Yes. Each upload creates a new analysis. History stores your last 90 days of runs.

What happens to my uploaded resume?

Stored securely for 90 days, then automatically deleted. You can delete it sooner from History.

What does the LinkedIn Optimizer do?

Analyzes your LinkedIn profile section-by-section and provides scores, feedback, and optimized rewrites for headlines, summary, experience, and skills.

How accurate is the scoring?

Scores are based on ATS optimization, keyword density, and recruiter visibility. Higher scores generally mean better optimization.

Can I use the optimized text directly?

Yes. Copy and paste the optimized text into your LinkedIn profile.

How often can I optimize my profile?

Premium: unlimited. Other plans: feature is locked.

Does it analyze my entire LinkedIn profile?

It analyzes the sections you provide. It doesn't access your LinkedIn account directly—you paste your content.

What if I don't have recommendations?

Recommendations are optional. You'll still get scores and feedback for other sections.

AI-generated question sets tailored to your target role, industry, and seniority level. Includes technical and behavioral questions.

How many questions do I get?

Can I practice the same questions multiple times?

Data & Privacy

What data do you store?

  • Account info (email, name)
  • Resume uploads and analysis results
  • Tool usage history
  • Billing info (processed by Stripe)

How long do you keep my data?

  • Tool runs/history: 90 days, then auto-deleted
  • Account data: Retained while active
  • Inactive accounts (24+ months): May be deleted

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Delete runs from History, or request full account deletion at [email protected].

Who processes my payments?

Stripe. We don't store full card numbers.

Do you use my content to train AI?

No. Your content isn't used to train our models or OpenAI's models.

Where is my data stored?

Cloudflare infrastructure (US-based). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
